Harrington Beach State Park June 2020

The title says it all.  Madeline came for a night.  It’s close to Milwaukee. There was a fair amount of gloomy weather and rain.

Harrington RV sites were fairly far from the beach, and out in a no tree area.  There was privacy from other sites, provided by lower heavy bushes, but no shade. The only bathroom was a large, new, deluxe structure up a hill. Individual family showers.

Tucson, AZ and Southern CA – Feb 2020

Flew to Tucson, rented a car.  Shared an AirBnb with the Stubers for about a week. Then we moved over the Curt and Susan’s house for 3 nights.

After that, we drove to San Diego, stayed with Eileen’s cousin Cathy for two nights.  Played the tourists. Then it was up to Culver City for a week the Denise and Mike.  Lots of fun there, things to do.  Paddle tennis, several long bike rides, lots of good food.

Skovron Wedding

On October 20th, 2019, in a barn north of Boulder.  Outside service, inside party.

Here’s hoping some of these shots can contribute to the efforts of the professional photographer for this event.

Michigan Camping 2019

Drove the camper up the western edge of Michigan in early September.  We hit a very cool, rainy stretch of weather.  Didn’t ride much.  Too wet, too cold.  Camped in Luddington, Sleeping Bear, and Petosky.  Hooked up with the Stubers of Traverse City in Glen Arbor. We tried a group bike ride in gloomy conditions .  Made it out about four miles when the threat of impending rain made us hightail it back to the cars.  Good call, it started to rain within 30 seconds of getting back.  We strolled down to Art’s Tavern for lunch.  Rain came down in sheets for an hour straight.

The forecast was grim enough that we all just drove all the way back to Traverse City, where we hung out dry and warm for the rest of the day.

Bob came up to Petosky for a ride one day.

Most of the pics from the first gallery are in and around Luddington State Park.

Phase two of this trip was camping in Porcupines Mountains, in the UP.  We met up with Howards and Walls, camped in the only RV site in the entire park.  We treated ourselves to gourmet dinners 3 nights, did two spectacular hikes.
