New Mexico Bike – Bina

Tim and Mark drive to Santa Fe, with our bikes and no plan whatsoever. I can’t remember where we stayed. Some motel. We had no idea were to ride, and for the most part it was fairly hostile territory. We rode thru one small town where dogs chased us with the encouragement of the locals, who threw things.

Cars – Dave and Tim

Tim’s brand new 1983 Toyota 2wd truck. Why he didn’t buy a 4wd remains a deep mystery.

Dave’s inherited car from his Dad, the Kommand Kar. Tim and Dave drove this car from La Crosse, middle of the winter, -10F, terrible heater. Tim’s new (used) 1974 Schwinn Paramount on the top. We wisely started the drive with a 5pm start at the bar that Ott owned, where we split a 6-pak of Special Export. I know I was hammered. Wrove all night, lived to tell about it.

Tim’s first car, a 1974 Datsun 1200, recently paid off. Dave “borrowed” it. Included is a picture here of Dave, thinking about what he did to Tim’s car.
