Visited the Pima Air and Space Museum on the far south east side of Tucson, on a screamingly windy day. Here are my pictures in the random order that I saw them. Given the wind conditions we limited most of our viewing to the craft inside the hangers. The tour starts in the largest hanger, which is about 3x larger than the three subsequent hangers.
The museum has a good web site which includes an exhaustive list of all their inventory, and various instructional videos.
Hike in Catalina State Park. We bought an AZ State Park pass. Most of the hikes here are long, and so we’ve been told, steep. Ours was was of the few shorter loops.
Tohono Chul is a botanical garden located in NW Tucson. Medium sized, very interesting, of course lots of cactus. Lots of pics of cactus, as we’re trying to learn about the spikey critters. Our own yard needs some additions. There’s an eatery here, a gift shop, a grow area for small cacti for sale. Jean and Joe W, and friend Tim were along.
